and Spatial Design í London Metropolitan University heldur fyrirlestur
í Opna listaháskólanum um “Ábyrgð og arkitektúr”

Robert Mull prófessor er deildarforseti við Department of Architecture and Spatial Design við London Metropolitan University. Hann rekur rannsóknar- og hönnunarstofuna ASD við háskólann sem hefur verk í byggingu á Kúbu, Indlandi, Íran og í London. Hann er jafnframt meðeigandi arkitektastofunnar Beevor Mull Architects. Robert er stofnfélagi NATO (Narrative Architecture Today) og hefur kennt víða m.a. við Architectural Association og haft prófessorstöður við arkitektaskólana í Vín og Innsbruck. Helstu rannsóknar og viðfangsefni eru hvernig arkitektar geta stuðlað að félagslegri uppbyggingu í samfélaginu jafnt sem byggðu umhverfi og hvernig arkitektar og hönnuðir þurfa að vinna með og taka þátt í að móta félagslega, stjórnsýslulega og hagfræðilega þætti í samfélaginu til þess að geta haft sem mest áhrif. Robert er komin til Íslands til að prófdæma lokaverkefni til BA gráðu í arkitektúr við Listaháskóla Íslands.

"Professor Robert Mull is Head of the Department of Architecture and Spatial Design at London Metropolitan University and Director of ASD Projects a live project office in the Department which currently has projects in Cuba, India, Iran and locally in London. Robert is also and a partner in Beevor Mull Architects and chair of SCHOSA, the body which represents the heads of UK schools of architecture. Robert was a founder member of NATO and has taught at the AA and elsewhere since the mid 80's holding Professorships in Vienna and Innsbruck. Since that period he has been concerned with how architects can generate and sustain social as well as built structures and how designers must engage with and learn to shape the political, social and economic reality around them if they are to be effective. It is this belief in a socially engaged design practice that informs his current work at London Metropolitan University".
